Overview

Located on the charming Rue Saint-André des Arts in the heart of Paris’s 6th arrondissement, L’Atelier des Nouilles offers a refined yet cozy escape into authentic Chinese cuisine. This Chinese restaurant stands out not only for its inviting ambiance but also for its dedication to handmade noodles and carefully crafted dishes that honor tradition while embracing the Parisian dining culture.

The main attraction here is undoubtedly the variety of noodle dishes, with the spicy beef noodles winning high praise for their rich, vibrant broth and perfectly chewy texture. The tender beef complements the bold flavors without overwhelming the palate. Equally notable are the pork dumplings, which deliver an impressive balance of seasoning and juiciness, though some guests express curiosity about the elusive xiao long bao yet to be discovered on the menu.

True to its name, L’Atelier des Nouilles is a workshop of noodles, offering both meat and vegetarian options. The generous vegetarian bowl, highlighted by fresh, handmade noodles, provides a satisfying and hearty experience, showcasing the restaurant’s skill and attention to freshness.

The restaurant’s location near the Seine imbues the space with a serene vibe, enhanced by tasteful decor reminiscent of a Chinese garden. This makes L’Atelier des Nouilles especially appealing to diners with lighter appetites or those eager to explore a variety of tastes in one outing.

In essence, L’Atelier des Nouilles is a refined choice for anyone in Paris craving genuine Chinese noodles and flavorful dishes served in a warm, aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. Whether you’re a local or a traveler, it promises a genuine taste experience anchored in tradition and crafted with care.

Tasty Noodles, But Portions Could Be More Generous at L’ATELIERS DES NOUILLES: I recently dined at L’ATELIERS DES NOUILLES and had a mostly enjoyable experience. We mistakenly ordered the steamed dumplings, thinking we had ordered xiao long bao, but they were just okay—nothing special. I was disappointed not to have tried the xiao long bao, but maybe next time! For my main, I had the spicy beef noodles, which were the highlight of the meal. The broth was wonderfully spicy, flavorful, and truly made me happy. The beef was tender and soft, though cut into small pieces, and I wish the portions were a bit more generous. The noodles were perfectly chewy and bouncy. To accompany the meal, I had jasmine green tea served in a beautiful piece of china, which elevated the overall dining experience. The fragrant tea paired perfectly with the food and added a touch of elegance. Overall, I recommend this place for those who don’t mind the slightly smaller portions. It’s especially suitable for people with lighter appetites.

During our week long visit in Paris, we ate twice at this restaurant. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. The food was very authentic Chinese food. We tried Mapo Tofu, Beef on Griddle , and spicy beef noodle. They all came out very tasty and flavorful. Although they were in the smaller portion side, we found it’s okay given the fact that you are in Paris, you would eat pastries, dessert, coffee and small snacks all day long. The service was great and fast. Will definitely come back again when visiting Paris next time.

Had the beef and chicken soup noodles, as well as marmite beef. All dishes tasted good. I’m Chinese so that says something, I guess! The soup broth was tasty. The marmite chicken was esp good and the portion including the amount of beef was big. Just note that it’s spicy though. Service was good too. The owner, who’s also Chinese, was friendly and nice.

Really delicious food, we ordered noodle soup and marmite de bouef.. Both met our expectations and were very delicious. The only down side was that the staff were not as friendly and definitely couldn’t speak any English
